Gedday! (Geia!)Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, Philippa and John Hughes would like to wish all our friends across the globe a joyful and fulfilling Sacred Time. Our thoughts and best wishes are with you for the year ahead.
May you dream big dreams, think big thoughts, act with a joyful heart and find happiness and wonder in even the smallest things!
Yep, this is the annual warm and fuzzy, our traditional electronic card. It arrives a bit later than most festive cards you're likely to receive (which for us is also traditional), and this year it looks like we have a Greek theme. It must have been the Olympics. Kalon etos iselthois!
Here in summery, gloriously-sunbaked, occasionally thundery Canberra, our little household is humming quietly along. Looking back, 2004 was a bit of a bugger of a year, with Pip breaking her leg and being housebound for months and months. All is now healed and whole, and we're both looking forward to work and creative accomplishment in the months ahead. And maybe even catching up on our email and community commitments. :) There were some glorious bits as well - new nephews on both sides of the family, and John having a chance to catch up with friends old and new in Germany. If only our cat Tara ('Pneuma Taraltara Yinkin Upchuck Eval-dot-Mog') would start eating again, and the catfish stop eating the tetras.
We've prepared a piece of artwork with a Greek theme to celebrate the new year and to share with you all. It was created by John using Poser 4 and Photoshop, with lots of guidance from Pip. We hope you like it, and if you do consider adding it to your desktop and screensaver collection!

In ancient Greek mythology, the Horae or Hours were the three goddesses of the seasons, daughters of Zeus and Themis. Though originally associated with the cycles of the year, later Greeks named the Horae as Eunomia (Order), Dike (Justice), and Eirene (Peace). Eirene was known as 'fairest of the the goddesses', 'blooming peace', and associated with peace, prosperity, and wealth. The Romans called her 'Pax'.

We hope that your new year will be an season of Eirene.
Now what greeting from Pip and John would be complete without our Javascript photo cube whirly thingee? Check it out!
