Our Clan Ring
This Ring is posited as the ring of the THUNDER clan that includes Swenstead. It is a variant on the Traditional Ring (Barbarian Adventures p.14).

Torvath Many-Cows
Male Age 45, Initiate of Dar the Chieftain.

Torvath is Our Chief, he was a successful farmer before being elected chief, and he now worships Dar the Chieftain and runs the clan just like he ran his stead. While he has no love of the Lunars, he has no wish to get into a fight that can't be won.
Tovarth is tall and wiry, with blonde hair and a neatly trimmed beard. He has three sons, the two oldest (NAME and NAME) are farmers, as he was, and are helping to manage his land and herds while he concentrates on clan business. His youngest son (NAME) worships Vingkot Victorious and has left home to join a rebel band fighting the invaders. He also has two daughters, the eldest (NAME) is married to a member of DIFFERENT CLAN, while the youngest (NAME) is due to be initiated this year. He resides at CHIEFSTEAD, but visits all of the clans at least once a year.
Rana Twice-Matched

Rana speaks for Ernalda on the Ring. She is a devotee of Vela the Queen. When her (first) husband died she married his brother and stayed at her old hearth. She is a good listener, always willing to lend a sympathetic ear and a word of advice.
Rana is a large, imposing woman whose raven black hair is starting to grey at the temples. She has a near permanent twinkle in her eye, and a friendly smile on her face. Through her friends and confidants she always seems to know what is going on, not only within our clan, but elsewhere amongst our neighbours
Rana is always keen to make advantageous marriages for the young adults of our clan, but still says her best match was her own, to NAME, her husband with whom she lives at CHIEFSTEAD.
Errol Silent-Step

Errol speaks for the Hunters, He is a devotee of Hevren, and knows the secret of transforming into an alynx. He is has travelled all over Sartar, and knows members of many clans.
The hunter has performed Yinkin's Whistling Cave Heroquest and has a nine lives Umbroli.
Errol is short and dark, and maintains a certain air of mystery, appearing at Swenstead seemingly at random throughout the year. Sometimes he brings prey that he has caught, sometimes he comes to lead our hunters after some rare or magical beast.
A softly spoken man, Errol doesn't often speak before a group, even to the moot, but his friends and fellow Ring Members know to respect the opinions he gives in private. He has never married, but rarely lacks for female companionship at any stead.
Koreng the Boat

Koreng is a barrel-shaped man who speaks for the fisher folk - indeed some people say he never shuts up! He always has a story to top anyone else's. Born at Swenstead, Koreng worships Poverri and the Steadfounder Swen, who teaches his worshippers how to appease the daimon of White Rapid and thus negotiate them safely by boat. This connection to Swen, and his approachability compared to the Helerite Iskalli (at least when he isn't out on his boat) makes him the first port of call for most steadfolk with issues to take before the Ring.
Lyzal Unbending
Female, 23 years, Initiate of Uralda Herd Mother.

Young Lyzal speaks for Uralda, the Herd Beasts, and for those who tend them. She is the youngest member of the clan ring, and sometimes seems to be in awe of the others. However when she has made her mind up over something she can be very stubborn. Lyzal opposes any overt use of force by the clan, except against poachers and cattle raiders, and though she often presents alternative and effective strategies, some suspect her of Lunar sympathies.
Lyzal's healing and herd skills skills have already made her a relatively rich woman, yet she gives freely of her time and powers to the entire clan. She once took an under-husband for a year, but is presently unmatched, and hopes her father might secure her a permanent marriage to a suitable carl or thane. Short and matronly in appearance, with long auburn braids, Lyzal has great strength in her hands and legs, and a high pitched, distinctive voice that she uses to great effect.
Lyzal resides at her grandfather's hearth at CHIEFSTEAD, but spends much of the fairer seasons among the herds at the mountain crofts.
Orlav Steady-Hand

Orlav speaks for the farmers and crafters, and is a follower of Barntar. He is conservative and methodical, and sometimes needs to have things explained several times before he fully comprehends them.
A large, broad-shouldered man with dark red hair, a ruddy complexion, and gigantic hands, Orlav is touched by the Movement rune, and cannot keep still, even in his sleep. He has adapted to this affliction by usually moving very slowly, but once set on a course of action he will work tirelessly to bring it to a conclusion. Only the promise of ale can sway him from his work. Orlav is very popular among the cottars, and never drives another harder than he is prepared to work himself.
Orlav resides at GRAINSTEAD, at the hearth of his father. Married to NAME, he is usually followed about by several of his young children, whom he over-indulges, often bringing them even when on Ring business at neighbouring steads.
Iskalli The Gentle

Iskalli represents Heler, the Healing Rain. A healer, godi and experienced ritual heroquester as well as a Ring Member, he worships Yuhurol the Golden Ram, and as a healer is one of those responsible for the health of the clan.
A renowned hero, Iskalli seems ever-youthful, and by the hero-light that shines about him his appearance can sometimes be seen to change in subtle ways. Clean-shaven with shining blue-grey long hair, he cuts a striking figure with his magnificent rainbow-hued cloak, carved shepherd's crook and god-wrought ram's horn helmet. An experienced heroquester, Iskalli can call down a golden Storm Ram to carry him through the air. He is also a gifted though stubborn healer, and is as likely to treat a wounded enemy raider from the OTHER clan as his own kin, yet may utterly refuse to treat someone until their bloodline takes responsibility for some minor wrong.
With many herd beasts and great renown, Iskalli is much loved by his bloodline, and could be a future leader if only he marry. Though respected by the clan, he is the target of constant rumour and sexual innuendo, and also has some powerful enemies in the OTHER bloodline.
Iskalli resides at Swenstead, and maintains the shrine to Heler in the hills above the stead. He lives at the hearth of his uncle NAME.
